Two Retirement Residence Choirs

Christie Chorale

 

This choir is a large four-part harmony choir of 35 members. We have an even balance of Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass. Both men and women whose voices have lowered, sing tenor and bass in this enthusiastic group of people aged 70 to 102.

Music reading is optional.

Music repertoire covers from 1500 to present day classical music, and folk music, and popular music from the 1930s to the present day.

 

Rehearsals:

Tuesdays 2 - 3:30 p.m.

 

Concerts:

About 6 per year

Church Choir

St Matthew's United Church Choir


The St Matthew's choir is advanced, led by professional singers, and now sings with Bloor St United Church Choir who now worship at St Matthew's. I share duties with their director, David Passmore.

The two choirs together have 25 voices.

Music reading is essential!

Music repertoire is from 1500 to present day classical, as well as spirituals, gospel, and contemporary music.

 

Rehearsals:

  • Tuesdays 6:45 - 8:45 p.m.

  • Sundays 9:30 - 10:20 a.m.

 

Service:

  • Sunday 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.

St Clare's Catholic Church Choir

 

This choir is in abeyance at present.

 

Rehearsal:

  • None at present

 

Service:

  • Sunday 12 noon - 1 p.m.

 

Location:

St Clair Avenue West at Northcliffe

The Tapestry Chorus Club

 

This is an enthusiastic group of seniors who love to sing a variety of popular music, mostly in unison, but with some harmony.

 

Rehearsals:

Fridays 1 - 2 p.m.
